At the start of the automotive revolution They really did not give a hoot about speed and padded seats like is what are in cars of today. Back in the day they were lucky to have maybe 1 or 5 hp in a gas engine. Most of the cars were wagons with a engine attached to the rear. Henry Ford was the first one to make the first car using a assembly line with the ford model A in 1927.
